Team Azlo

AzloTV's internal staff and operations app: film production, events, merch, support and legal in one role-aware mobile app

Team Azlo is the app AzloTV's staff use to run the business from a phone. I built it as one Skip/SwiftUI codebase (about 97k lines of Swift across 335 files) on top of the AzloTV API: film production management, scheduling, gear, payroll, event door check-in, merch fulfilment, the support console, legal e-signing and live-stream moderation, with every screen gated by the same permission rules as the server.

Highlights

  1. 01Role-aware shell: four staff levels and 16 permission areas mirrored from the backend's RBAC gates, so each person only sees the tabs they can use; crew-only users get a focused My Work portal (tasks, gear, pay, deal memos, expenses).
  2. 02Film production on a phone: projects, approvals, purchase orders, expenses, timecards, payroll pay runs, a gear cage with check-out/check-in, reservations and custody history, plus a stripboard, call sheets and Day-Out-of-Days scheduling.
  3. 03Anonymous door kiosk: event staff check guests in by scanning tickets with a door code and PIN, no account needed; an in-person NDA kiosk lets guests sign documents on the device, with a legal hard-block that stops staff until required documents are signed.
  4. 04Actor-based networking with token refresh on 401, Keychain storage, a session state machine and an offline launch that restores the last signed-in shell from a per-user cache; 91 host-run tests cover permission gates, session restore and API decoding.
  5. 05Built for iOS and Android from one codebase with Skip; Socket.IO and Firebase push were left out on purpose so everything stays portable, with REST polling instead. Shipped internally through TestFlight (1.0.0) in July 2026.
